- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆The biggest problem with the Pond Mills Food Basics is the lack of cashiers at the busiest times. Lines are terribly long, the cashiers are slow as molasses and the checkout counters are not long enough. Most Food Basics stores don't have enough space between the check outs and the beginning of the food aisles so it's impossible to get through when the lines are long. Prices are comparable to No Frills and Freshco. The store is large and usually well stocked.By Electone_Guy, February 10, 2017
