  Less than 1 star if I could!! I recently purchased a $4.99 frozen homemade "Bean soup" at Alicja's. There was no ingredient list - just a label that said "Bean soup". I could see veggies & big white beans so I thought I'd try it . When I de- thawed it there was large pieces of ham inside. I do eat chicken sometimes but not ham. I sent an email to the owner explaining what happened. She said it's bean soup - it's not vegetarian. All of our soups are a meat base. You can "safely" assume that a product has meat in it unless otherwise labelled. How can you "safely" assume anything when it is NOT labelled?! How about an ingredient list?! Or label "Bean soup with ham" ?! Why would I assume Bean soup has meat in it?! & If I am ok with chicken broth but not beef - how would I know the difference ?! What store do you know that does this?! The Amish maybe - that's the only place it makes sense! What if I was Jewish or have allergies ?! Who doesn't have ingredients listed?! She said they would be willing to make me vegetarian soup but a minimum order of 10 is required. Seriously ?! Like it's my fault - I should assume Bean soup had meat in it!! It's a $4.99 soup- that's your resolution ?! What horrible horrible customer service & old school Polish mentality - so backwards!

  Great selection of goods from Europe, with a focus on Poland. Meat and deliver counter was amazing. Came in for a sandwich and left with a selection of quality sausage. Well worth pulling off the highway for a visit.
